Mother's Day Cards

Okay so I know I am a little late for this post, but here is a Mother's Day card I made. Note that any saying can be used on this card and not just 'Mother's Day'! This stamp is a Level 1 Hostess set and it is just gorgeous!
I have two versions, one where I have not coloured the flower in and the other I have, just using the ink pad and the 'daubers'.

The colour used is one of the NEW In Colours 'Groovy Guava' and the matching ribbon (of course!) layered onto 'Chocolate Chip' cardstock.

Mother's Day Stall follow up...

So we had the Mother's Day Stall today at school and the official amount of cards that were made was 368 and there are only just on 50 cards left! Yeah it was great, I actually got to sell all the cards myself at a table as all the mum's helping made sure to tell the kids to go down the end of the table's to buy a card for mum! I think that added to the fun and enjoyment of watching the kids try to decide which card to choose for their mum's. I had one little boy who bought 5 cards! He kept coming back with his 50c (that's how much we sold them for nothing too huge) and said I love buying cards, so I said okay which colour next! But the feedback from the mum's helping out and some of the teachers was lovely so it made all the time and effort worthwhile.

Mother's Day Cards for School Fete

Wow it's all finished, I have been working along with my lovely mum and some mum's from school to finish approximately (I have not done the official count yet) 375 cards for our school Mother's Day stall tomorrow! We have worked late into the night and day to get them all done and to top it off my mum, Ann made wait for it 402 envelopes to fit the cards into!!! An unbelievable job she has done, can you tell she does not work anymore??!! Thanks so much for the help to everyone involved let's just hope the kids buy them tomorrow!! Anyway here are some pictures of the cards they are only note cards but are just gorgeous measuring 3" by 3" when folded.

These are just some of the colour schemes that we did, as we used a variety of stamp sets and inks to give them something to choose from and to stop the boredom. My favourites are the ones using the swirl from the set 'Priceless' and the 'Flower Punch' that goes with the set 'Looks Like Spring' although these flowers were very time consuming to 'stick' on and we hope they stay on the cards when the kids open them to write on and put them back into their envelopes! Oh and we stamped the envelopes as well.

The ink colours used were 'Tempting Turquoise', 'Purely Pomegranate', 'Pretty in Pink', 'Lovely Lilac' and 'Chocolate Chip'. The cardstock we used was varying with 'Whisper White', 'Pretty in Pink' and 'Lovely Lilac'.
